Introduction:

This entry is all about the hidden treasure of Ozamiz City yet open to those who are willing to discover it’s beauty.

Ozamiz City has its own distinction for having the second largest pipe organ in the Philippines. According to some experts, this is the largest and the finest pipe organ in the Philippines outside Manila and the only one standing in Mindanao.

Yearly, OCCS- SPED Center Grade V pupils have their fieldtrip to this place to view personally and to touch the finest texture of the pipes.

You can never be in the city if you will miss to view the pipes. The true appreciation of its beauty could really be proven once you view and touch the pipes personally.

Methodology:

1.Research about its origin.

2. Interview

3. Picture and Video taking

Expected Outputs:

1.The history of how the pipe was built and the people involved.

2. Picture upon gathering information.

3. Graph of the number of tourists visited monthly.

4.Video of the musician and the choir while the organ is being played.

5. The benefits of the community people upon having this pipe organ.

OCCS-SPED Center School Improvement Plan (SIP)

School Improvement Plan

The School Improvement Plan of Ozamiz City Central School – SPED Center is successfully formulated through the collaborative efforts of School Improvement Planning team.

This is composed of representatives from different sectors like the President of Pupil Government, Chairman of SPED, Teachers of different SPED categories, GPTA President, Local Government Unit with the In-Charge of Specials from CSWD, Barangay Chairman, BHW Head and Media. The school head is the over-all chairperson of the SIP team.

The SIP team prepared the vision, mission and goals, analyzed the result of Report Card, identified the needs of the school and planned to produce quality education. Monitoring and evaluation were integrated to check the accuracy and accomplishment of this plan.
This anticipates the mounting of performance level of pupils in parallel to the increasing performance indicators that would result to the greatest achievement of the learners.

In Our Place

Ozamiz  City has its own distinction for having the second largest pipe organ in the Philippines.

The Immaculate Conception Cathedral is an excellent home for the pipe organ. Having perfect acoustics and unique architectural design, it deserves an organ which an expert describes as the “The largest and the finest pipe organ in the Philippines outside Manila”.

Blessed are the the teachers and students for being chosen to participate in this training. With this, I’m very  thankful to have Smart and Philippine Business for Social Progress(PBSP) as sponsors in this training.

The training is great for many things were learned and new things were discovered . Through this training, I can really appreciate that many things could be done and improve in our old ways.
